Football Manager 2011

December 23rd 2010 07:11
Hey folks, I have decided to write something about this newly released game (released at Nov 1). I don't know how many of you play this game. But this certainly is the best football management I have ever played.

This game has everything, that a manager should have, so detailed that it certainly makes you feel like you are really managing a club. From scouting to training, everything is nicely and smoothly done.

So far, I have finished one season in this game with, obviously, Real Madrid. I have won the treble, beating Athletico Madrid(?) for the La Liga, Arsenal for the Champions league and Athletic Bilbao for the Spanish Cup.

I bought Mamadou Sakho, Roberto Carlos, Raul (aka The Legend) and Guti back in the summber transfer window of 2010. The other 4 signings I did in the summer of 2010 were all under 19 players like Kevin, Muniain, Babacar and Moussa Sissoko. Also, the team your seeing now are including the players I have bought in the summer of 2011. Fernando Llorente, Rafael da Silva, Van Nistelrooy are some of them.

Surprisingly, Athletico Madrid gave us a fierce title competition. I actually lost hope that I will win La Liga because they were ahead of us and all of a sudden, in the end, they lost against relegation zone teams. Weird.

In the final, Arsenal didn't trouble us that much. We cruised easily in terms of both goals and possession. This was actually my best debut season in any FM game. Hopefully, I can win-all next season too.

The best part is the team preparation option which they have newly added in this game. It gives the team a much needed style. Like, I can now play free-flowing pass-and-move football, thanks to this new training pop, which looks like this -

They have also added this 'individual training focus' for a player which allows you to assign your player to any particular type of training. Like if you want to improve the dribbling skills of a player (in your team), you can do that by using this option. Actually, enough said, just see the image!

I hope you have got an idea of how this game works. I really hope that you guys play this game and experience how it feels like to be a, almost, complete manager!

Lol. The lowest side I have ever managed was Millwall. I took them to Champions league 3 times and just won it once . That was in FM10 btw.

I always wanted to try one of these games. Problem is - I don't know if the game will match with the regional codes of the US and actually work. Looks amazing though.
