Food Holidays
May 18th 2010 09:16
Did you know that there is a holiday every day? When it comes to food there is.
The month of May, for example, is National Asparagus Month, National BBQ Month, National Chocolate Custard Month, National Hamburger Month, National Salad Month, National Salsa Month, National Strawberry Month, and National Egg Month.
The first week of May is National Raisin Week and National Herb Week.
The second week of May is National Hamburger Week.
The third week of May is National Pickles Week.
And, the fourth week of May is Frozen Yogurt Week, and American Beer Week.
Every day in May (as well as every other month) is a Food Holiday. Some examples are May 4th - Homebrew Day; May 13th - Apple Pie Day; and May 19th - Devil's Food Cake Day.
With this blog, I plan to post the holidays with corresponding recipes. You can also find a printable Food Holidays calendar at real-home-cooking.com.
I hope you'll keep checking this blog for food holidays - each and every day!
