The Florida State Seminoles are coming off a season that saw marginal success, including a win over Notre Dame in the Champs Sports Bowl. Now the future is even brighter as the team brought in the top-ranked recruiting class for the year.
Florida State signed the top defensive end and defensive tackle on the board. Mario Edwards, the top defensive end signed with the Seminoles as did Eddie Goldman, the best at defensive tackle. Florida State also signed the 14th-ranked player overall in quarterback Jameis Winston.
Missouri signed the top offensive player in wide receiver Dorial Beckham. Beckham turned down other offers, in deciding to play for his home-state Tigers. Beckham had 75 touchdowns and 6,353 receiving yards, setting a new national record while at Springfield, Missouri.
Alabama also had a top-notch recruiting class after beating LSU for the national title almost a month ago. The Crimson Tide signed 28 players, including 13 of the top 150 recruits nationally.
