Florida Day two: Islands of Adventure

[SIZE=3]The Islands of Adventure
I had a lot of fun today and took a whole camera full of pictures to prove it. I was up by 7am. After having fruit, scramble eggs, sausage and an English muffin at the hotels large free breakfast buffet I was off to catch the trolly to near Universal.
I stopped at Starbucks on City Walk for a caramel latte. Then continued on to Islands of Adventure. I loved the rides! The Hulk threw me for a few loops and corkscrews. It may be my favorite coaster of all times because I love going upside down. I was then caught between Magneto and storm turning round and round. That was partly because I did some of the turning.
Next it was time for some wet fun. First on Dudley Do Right's adventure. I got in a log boat and floated down a dangerous river with several drop offs and one huge splash.
Then I had to escape some raptors and a TRex by going over another waterfall. The first got me drenched so I barely cared about dinosaurs spitting water at me.
The Dueling Dragons coaster flipped me all over the place. I tried both sides of this twisting turning dangling ride, but both sides seemed the same. The red dragon side seemed win the fight both times. Next I found out more about Poseidon by entering his Tome. I barely escaped with the others when there was a fight over Poseidon's Triad. When Poseidon won all were able to leave through the sea in a secret passage to the mainland.
A little whimsy to end the rides for the day. I learned a lesson I had learned before from Dr. Seus and the Sneeches with stars and no stars. I heard the story while on a tram that ran above Seusville and thru a circus diner. After finishing it was time for some shopping.
I bought cat in the hat socks for my cousin Faith, her brother Jr. I bought a dragon toy. and I didn't think my niece should do without a unicorn in a little pink purse. (She carries the purse all around now.) Resting a few times along the way I walked to the trolly stop and caught it back to the hotel.
The end of day two
Note to self: Even flat flip flop shoes worn on vacation can hurt you. My new strappy silver shoes look great, but my feet were throbbing by the end of the day. I soaked my feet a bit. The headed out to dinner at CiCi's Pizza.
There was a gift stores next to the pizza place so I finished buying gifts for the rest of my family. Back at the hotel I lounged on the couch watching Bones before crashing for the night. A big birthday adventure to Clearwater Beach was on the agenda for the next day.[/SIZE]

Would have loved to ride more than once
