Floods in Northern NSW
May 24th 2009 08:24
We survived! The weather event that I mentioned in my last post seems to have passed. While we are on the Far North Coast of NSW, the Mid Coast are now feeling the flooding pain.
We still have alot of water around and been advised by our builder, now that the concrete is down, they won't be able to start laying the bricks until the block has dried. That may take another two weeks.
One good piece of news is that apparently for a slab of concrete to 'cure' properly, it needs to be watered. Well, the last couple of days would have cured our block very well. I wouldn't be surprised if we had the hardest piece of concrete in the land.
So now we look forward to our block drying out in preparation of the bricks being laid.
