Flooding In Myth
February 22nd 2012 09:37
Floods are one of the worst disasters of the world. In myth there was a deity or god who was capable of controlling the sky and sea. He began to flood the world in order to get rid of those who sinned. This led to the building of Noahs Ark, and was the foundation of many myths around the world. All accounts from India to Greece agreed that there had been a big flood, and that it had wiped out mankind. There are parallels that are drawn, and that the waters - including the primeval waters - rose.
Accounts say there were flooding of the rivers, tsunamis, underwater eruptions, and some even say that the sea-men of the ocean rose in order to flush the lands with water so that they could prove they could rule it.
This wiped out many peoples, and it killed a lot of the Middle East. The land was turned into mud, and this was turned into ocean. The buildings were wiped out. There was nothing after the flooding had stopped.
