Flashes of memories - MUGABE MUST GO!!! ZIMBABWEANS NEED THEIR HOME BACK

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness - Carl Jung To be at one with God is to be at peace ... peace is to be found only within, and unless one finds it there he will never find it at all. Peace lies not in the external world. It lies within one's own soul. - Ralph Waldo Trine

Christmas klutz!

Not to put a downer on the whole Christmas spirit thing, but I for one am really glad that the madness is over! I am quite happy that I get to celebrate my Christmas in a few weeks time when the holiday makers have gone, the streets are no longer bulging with puffing and panting cars and the shop aisles have returned to normal, void of the rage and venomous glares that would make any street fighter proud.

To borrow a phrase from the lovely old lady off 'The Golden Girls' .... Picture it, Sicily, 1947.... haha just kidding! Picture it, the fruit and veg section of the local corner shop. The heady scent of fresh tomatoes mingle with the perfume of luscious, plump peaches. Tiny beads of condensation shimmer like diamonds on the back of a juicy orange, which lies in stark contrast next to the almost luminous green skin of a granny smith apple. Bunches of grapes and small, perfectly coloured cherries, puff up their purple bossoms as eyes and fingers caress their delicate skins

WHats the least thoughful gift you ever received?

It`s that time of year again when we eat too much, drink too much and have to sit to and make small talk with all the relatives we try to avoid during the rest of the year. Yep - Christmas is upon us yet again

Life in God`s Easel

landscape, sunshine coast, australia

To me this life is like several movies are all playing at the same time, us being surrounded by various screens as we try to keep up with the storylines in each one. We may be watching a romance on one screen whilst a horror plays out on another. Very rarely all those screens seem to shift and come into alignment, playing out on the same screen, same storyline - it all seems to fit. And in that single moment we get to experience a moment of pure joy. That shift seems to ignite something deep inside, as if telling us that no matter what is playing out on all of those screens, the big picture is ok, everything is clear and all is right with you and your world and your journey

An adventurous Sunday with a whole lot on energy!.... Part 2

As evening approached I had to head down the coast to collect a car, jumping on the train and allowing the thoughts of the day to drift in and out of my mind as I watched the sun set behind monstrous grey clouds. After changing trains I found myself in an empty carriage. Once again the thoughts of energy rushed into my mind and I thought about how much energy was left behind on these trains everyday. How much is woven in the very fabric that I was now sitting on? How we are all so connected to one another without even realising it. I had read previously that day that we are not as free as we like to think we are.

While I was thinking about all of this I was watching the ever changing landscape out the big glass windows. The clouds were glowing with the fading light of the sun, the trees silhouetted in their skeletal beauty. Now a really weird sensation occured. In the seat infront of me I could 'see' this young man, but i couldn`t really see him because no one was there. It was like i could see his form, but not in a solid state, if that makes sense. He was wearing an old brown suit and had on a wide brimmed hat, which tilted backwards and forwards as his body rocked with his loud bellows of laughter. Next, just down the short carriage corridor was a small girl dressed in a bright yellow dress, two plaits hanging straight down the side of her head and tied by large white ribbons. It was a very strange sensation and not at any time did I feel any fear (things like this FREAK ME OUT normally

An adventurous Sunday with a whole lot on energy!.... Part 1

lizzard, chenrezig, bush
Our Chenrezig buddy!
Well it`s Sunday and a ramble has been itching under the fingertips as every hour has slowly ticked by over the past few days. It has certainly been an interesting couple of weeks juggling a trip to Sydney, overseas visitors and managing to squeeze in hectic work days somewhere in the middle. Today has been the very day that I have needed... you know how it goes? You need days sometimes - more than you need them other times (if that makes sense without sounding like I waste my days?)

Energy has come up in coversation so many times over the past month. Lilla did a post about how we are connected to the Earth... our energies flow into one another. Then I was reading about the wonderful world of gamma rays on Dusk`s website and all that entails that lively form of energy
