Five Days Till We Give Thanks

Five days to November 25th when we will be glutens as we give thanks for everything the lord has given us. I went all my life just relying on myself and using the ones around me. I never realized that we are not alone. And that doesn't imply space aliens either. The world as I knew it came crashing to a halt in 2007 when I was cast out into the world with twenty bucks and some clothes, put out in downtown Atlanta and told don't call or come back till you have a job or made it.
That started me down a brand new path and now I find myself constantly at crossroads but the difference is I have guidance now and rely not totally on myself but on my heavenly father. It wasn't easy clawing my way back to normalcy from the hole I had dug for myself, but I couldn't have done it without Christ. Because when you are alone out in the cold, having faith means the difference between ending up a homeless person for ever or just for a few long months. 31 degrees for 90 days is not a pic nic. I ended up in a work camp, 60 miles from town, living in a warehouse with 80 men in a life crisis center called "Set Free". Our motto: "Beans and rice and Jesus Christ", worked wonders for thousands of men through the years.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving.
