David Jobling is right on in his survey of the delights of this bio of the great Vincente Minnelli. The titans of that age are still glittering in the firmament for young and old. No conflict between their celebrated children and the legendary parents -- they all shine for us. Though for an oldie like myself i will always stand in awe of Minnelli, Garland, Bergman, Garbo (awesome!), Rita Hayworth (at 86, still wanking over her), etc. Come on, Mark Griffin, we're waiting for your next star-studded opus!
