Detox using Feng Shui

December 29th 2009 01:44
A lot of people feel that once they have a Feng Shui consultation that life will automatically be fabulous! In actual fact the exact opposite can be true – however this is usually only for a week or two. I always inform my clients that after a Feng Shui consultation and the recommendations are incorporated they may notice an immediate change in the energy or it may manifest over a period of time. The first few weeks after a Feng Shui consultation can actually be disruptive. This period is like a cleansing or detox, you are letting go of negative habits, behaviors, thought patterns, etc. Creating a supportive environment enables you to do this whilst feeling inner strength which is ultimately going to benefit you and the people around you.

To attune yourself to these supportive energies you may find yourself working on particular issues, but you will have a clearer understanding of how to work through these issues and resolve them

This is especially so when moving someone from a very challenging energy to a very supportive energy in relation to where they are sleeping. This can have an amazing effect on their relationships and/or health.

In my experience if there are any underlying issues that need to be addressed sleeping in supportive energy will help bring these to the surface and your job is to address them and work through them so you can move forward in a positive manner.

I have had quite a number of clients who have been sleeping in very challenging energy and when I have moved them to supportive energy they have then discovered different illnesses that they were not aware of prior to moving. So far all of the serious illnesses have been discovered very early on and have been able to be addressed with very positive outcomes. Would this have happened if they stayed in the area they were sleeping in? I can’t answer that however I can take my clients feedback that they only became aware of the problem once they had changed their sleeping environment.

The same is true with relationships. In the instance of a couple that live together - once they move into supportive energy they can have some very serious arguments however all of them have told me that this was great as they were issues that really needed to be dealt with prior to moving forward. This had included couples that have been married for more than 30 years. One of my clients had so much resentment towards her husband that once I moved the location of their bed into a very supportive energy it bought it all to the surface. The husband was very unaware of these feelings and whilst a difficult time the feedback I received was that outstanding issues had been discussed and positive action had been taken to the benefit of all. They have since told me that their relationship is better than it ever has been.

When sleeping in supportive energy I find that my clients really feel supported which enables them to be true to themselves and when this happens it will affect the people that are close to them. I believe that if we communicate with clarity and are honest with ourselves and the people around us, this can ultimately only lead to positive outcomes.

I suppose the real question is will it be the outcome we expect?

The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.” Don Williams, Jr. (American Novelist and Poet, b.1968)

Are you in the right house?

September 20th 2009 01:29
Absolutely!

I believe that our home is a blessing and we have attracted it for a reason. It is there to teach us something we need to learn or experience which then enables us to move forward in life in a more positive way.

Think about the different homes you have lived in and then think about the different things you have experienced in each particular home. I am a big believer that we choose a house for a reason; it teaches us different aspects about our life and helps us in our journey through life. Whilst typing this I am counting the number of homes I have lived in...........I am now in my 21st house, so looks like I have a lot to learn!

I look back at the different things I have experienced in each of these different homes including marriages, divorce, babies, celebrations, jobs, children, etc.

As I look back at these experiences I feel truly blessed as these are what lead to where I am right now. The most challenging ones are the ones I am most grateful for because without them I cannot appreciate how absolutely wonderful my life is and how very grateful I am to the universe and the people around me.

These different and numerous experiences have enabled me to relate to people from all walks of life which I absolutely love and in turn helps me with my business and of course my life! As we all know the learning never stops however the way in which we look as these learnings can change to ensure we benefit from them rather than have them work against us.

This includes looking at your home in a completely different way, remember your home is a reflection of you. Start to work with it, look around your surroundings with fresh eyes, what is your environment saying about you? Is it tired and run down? If so is this how you feel? Is it cluttered? If so are you feeling stuck in different areas of your life? Embrace your home, love it, feed it and learn from it. You are able to ensure your environment supports you - so use it to your advantage rather than have it working against you.....this is where Feng Shui can help.

Whilst travelling down the path of life we sometimes take a different road - is it a wrong turn? I don't believe so, it's just another learning expereince that we can use to enrich our lives.

So rather than focusing on the problems - start looking at them as a learning exercise. In addition to this focus on what you have achieved and what a great person you are - stop being so hard on yourself.

When heading to bed at night I like to lie there and thank the universe for things I was grateful for during the day. There is always something you can find to be grateful for, such as "Thank you for the rain, sunshine, the smile from my kids, the smell of jasmine, etc ." This costs nothing however can change our attitude in seconds. Remembering of course that everything starts with a thought - so why not make it a positive one?

Give it a try for two weeks and see if you notice a difference. What have you got to lose? Nothing but negativity.

Where Does Feng Shui Fit In?

September 20th 2009 01:24
There are three different types of luck and these include: Heaven Luck, Earth Luck and Man Luck and each one accounts for about one third. Feng Shui falls into "Earth Luck".

Just because you have good Feng Shui doesn’t mean your life will be smooth sailing............I wish it were that easy.

Feng shui is the relationship between us and our enironment. By creating a supportive environment we can attract opportunities to improve our life, however it comes down to the occupants to actually take advantage of these opportunities!

Below is an example of how if you are not willing to work on your man luck then you are not going to be able to take advantage of the Feng Shui of the building:

One of my clients owns a cafe and had noticed that business had decreased substantially since moving into the premises. I looked at the Feng Shui and communicated that the building did not support the businesses ability to make money and made recommendations to improve the energy entering the cafe.

I was invited to the cafe with my family as a thank you from my client. We arrived on a Saturday mid morning and proceeded to find our own seat, get our own water and wait quite a while for someone to actually acknowledge our presence. The waitresses were not happy campers and you could sense they really didn’t want to be there, I don’t think they smiled once. Whilst waiting to order we were looking over the menus which were not very professional and looked old and tired – this was pretty much the whole feeling of the cafe and the staff! The food was ok but unfortunately was soured by the fact we felt we were not wanted nor appreciated.

Now I am no restaurant connoisseur or cook for that matter but I felt the need to mention our experience to my client as I felt she would not be able to take advantage of the Feng Shui recommendations if the staff didn’t change their attitudes, and the menus updated.

She was open to suggestions and admitted her staff didn’t like their job and her and her husband just wanted out........You could sense this when arriving so it was not an envionment that I would want to come back to as we didn't feel welcome hence the opportunity for repeat business was miminal. She mentioned that they had put the cafe on the market with no offers.

Within weeks after implementing the Feng Shui recommendations they received an offer – but declined it as they wanted more money. She then spoke to me at a later date saying they should have taken the offer as it was actually really good!

As you can see they had opportunities to improve their business just by using their man luck and after following the recommendations from a Feng Shui perspective business increased and they were made an offer. The Feng Shui was supporting the opportunities but it was their actions and decisions that blocked those opportunities from coming to fruition.

Feng Shui is not a fixer of everything or a quick fix – it helps to provide you with a supportive environment which in turn attracts opportunities to improve your life – it’s up to you to take advantage of these opportunities.

Remedies in Feng Shui

September 18th 2009 12:38
I love this Feng Shui blog and its ability to help me communicate my views and opinions about the subject that I am so passionate about.

I have hundreds of clients and after years of consulting and the past three years teaching I am still absorbing this amazing subject like a sponge - constantly absorbing new information, ideas and opinions. I believe that part of being a good consultant requires the ability to be open and receptive to varying ideas and opinions as this is a subject that has so many different aspects to it. There are many, many Masters that have studied and teach Feng Shui yet still differ on the interpretation. I would say that about 80% of information is similar whilst the other 20% differs from one teacher to the next. So I think it's important to understand that there are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule and in addition to this don't believe everything you read or a told

How to Choose a good Feng Shui Consultant?

September 18th 2009 12:33
Choosing a Feng Shui Consultant can be difficult at the best of times. It is a large subject, taught at many levels. As the boundaries between Feng Shui and related disciplines can be blurred, it is easy to get confused.

When I studied Traditional Feng Shui there were only a handful of Traditional Feng Shui consultants in Australia however now there are many more given the range of courses now available. The hard thing is to determine which one to choose! First thing first, you need to confirm with the individual consultant their level of study, questions such as who they studied with, for how long, did they have to pass any exams to obtain their qualification? From my experience there is no way you can practice Feng Shui after doing a week long course - there is no way the amount of information required could be covered in this time
