Fences and pools.
January 8th 2011 05:59
We have a fence and we also have a dirty big hole in the backyard where we plan to put the pool.
After selling our business, getting our tax back and generally being careful with dosh, we decided to go ahead with building the fence and preparing for the pool.
Funnily enough in summer, every pool builder we rang was busy!!! So it may not be until the end of January before we get a look in from these busy guys. It should be in by winter I'm guessing :\
Anyway, the fence is made from colour bond and matches our neighbour's fence. We have a defined backyard which means I can start getting into setting up vege gardens and compost heaps.
There is somewhat of a setback, however. As I type this, the weather forecast is predicting possible floods in our area.
Our pool hole has become a new eco-system for every wayward frog in the neighbourhood due to previous rains, but soon we are to be deluged.
As Mark said, if this is an overdue 20 year flood, better to have it now before the pool goes in and gardens are established.
