Family History Wall

The beginnings of our family history wall. It's nice to give them a home.
For those who don't know, one of my favourite past-times is genealogy or family history. There's an unmatched excitement that comes over me when I look through old photos of family members long gone and read through detailed census records, old wills or birth, death and marriage certificates.

And it's pretty hard to beat when I discover some juicy detail within the annals of our history. The proverbial skeleton in the closet.

When we sea-changed I packed away all the old photos in our family history wall to be held in waiting until I had a permanent place for them. Now I have some of them on our downstairs wall.

A pictoral reminder of those responsible for the traits, looks and genes we and our kids have today.
