Wow! As I look back on previous posts, it can abe noticed I am significantly happier. Less sarcasm, a sin. A poem, she must be special, for me to be silly enough to share a poem, I am barely confident with my blog as it is.
Anyhow. Everyone has heard that sleep deprivation stimulates creativity. Previously I had never expierenced it, a deadly sin of mine, sloth. But with interesting conversation a nightly fixture, 3 hours sleep seems to be about as much as I am getting of late.
Usually this would worry me, a lack of sleep makes me very tired and unsociable. But with this writing and me attempting to write song lyrics and music for a band (a poor excuse for a band, me and my cousin, no singer, bass or drummer), its become a welcomed intrussion. Sure not only do I have an amazing girlfriend who challenges me to think outside the square and encourages me in everything I do, but I have been writing some decent (in my opinion, and for what genre it is (metal)) lyrics.
I hallucinated this morning about a man who rised out of the concrete did the moon walk and walked away.. Actually turned into a decent topic for a song.
Im no scientist, but if you are writing and suffering from writers block, have 3-4 days of little sleep, that will do the trick. We'll call this post a community service announcement
