Exercise for the Mind
October 25th 2006 23:38
To-day I am giving you just one image in the hope that you will take the opportunity to mentally list all the various images, suggestions etc that you perceive.
Submissions of thoughts will be favourably regarded and there will be a virtual prize for the longest list and a High Distinction Certificate, also prepared along virtual lines, for those coming up with the most original views.
Your thoughts will disappear into Cyberspace, but you may be confronted with them again as you depart this earth for the great resting place in the Sky.
This disclosure is made under the terms of our privacy policy of 5,001 pages, and to enter the competition you must click somewhere on this page, stating you have read and agree with our conditions. As most of us have already clicked several of these documents after perusing them meticulously and taking legal advice, this should not present any obstacle. If you can't find where to click just click any old thing that happens to be in front of you and you'll be automatically clicked by a series of hyperlinks that sign you up for all sorts of commitments you can't possibly keep and pays you at the usual rates. Don't hold your breathe on that one.
Now, here's the image
How do you feel about all of this [no rude replies, please!]?

If I were to title the piece, I'd call it "Puzzled". It reminds me of how I've felt sometimes when I suddenly realize I'm not in the place I meant to end up, that lost feeling - or when trust is broken. It's that confused feeling I get when I feel like the sky is falling, the walls are crumbling, and the pieces of my life's puzzle become scrambled.
Looking at it long enough, I can begin to see images my own mind projects, like a red and black giraffe, a chaotic face grinning at me, and even an elf hat. But to stand back and take it in for what it is, it reminds me most of how I feel when I'm just downright confused.
I like it.

I guess the paranormal has no limits and you certainly can write, I feel sure, amongst the many other things that you can do.
It was great to receive your comment.

To Katyzzz,
I love it...it made me think of my daughter and childhood, for some reason...don't know why!
