Event style

Some examples of the good, the bad and the ugly of how I tend to shoot and edit events.
The good
-- Energetic.
-- Visuals married well to music.
-- Shots usually well-composed, in terms of colours, brightness, framing.
-- Interesting moments caught.
The bad and ugly
-- Repetitive after a while -- for instance, too many pulled focuses, and too much of the same editing style (speed changes).
-- Bad camera shake at times.
-- I shoot with shallow depth of field, so I'm often hunting for focus.
-- Definitely a preference for close shots, which can feel a bit suffocating or intense.
-- Image composition, while balanced, often is stilted or detached or too formal. I observe the action instead of being in the action or commenting on the action.
-- There's not much camera movement; and what there is isn't imaginative.
-- These clips are a minute or two. Maybe you couldn't sustain anything longer with this sort of style.
