Changing Season

Down under they might hear birds start to sing
Look at their water and you'll see more boats
Look in their pools and you might see who floats
Less need to fear rain and the cold wind's sting
Their seasonal trees should begin blooming
"It's cold" should be among their least said quotes
Because, down under, they are starting spring
But it in New York it's not like that at all
Our Summer sure seemed like quite a short one
Now it is almost officially done
Yielding to the cooler weather of Fall
Perhaps I have no reason to complain
At least now we don't have a hurricane
