Epcot Tomorrow
August 17th 2007 16:08
Good morning everyone,
Hope all of you are well today.Last month was my son's birthday, he turned 5. Due to the situation we are in financially, we didn't make a big birthday party for him. Instead, we gave him a choice, a party for all of his friends or going to Disney. Like most kids, he chose Disney. We bought the seasonal pass because we are Florida residents. If you go more than once, it pays for itself. So thankfully, we had this pass, because to pay for the day now would have been rough. But now, all we have to pay for is the expenses during the day, lunch, etc. He is very much looking forward to it. Surprisingly, he chose Epcot over the Magic Kingdom. The thing is, he loves the Nemo ride as well as Crush and Soarin'. He was very excited about Soarin' last time, because it was his first time on it. He made the 40 inch height requirement for the first time, so a whole new world of rides were opened to him. My wife and I are trying to make it a fun day for him and give him a wonderful birthday experience. We are not even going to a hotel tonight, in order to save the money. The bad part, is that means getting up at 5 in the morning tomorrow, since we live around three hours away. We want to get there by the opening, to give him a full day and my parents are going with us. We need to get there early, because my mother needs the electric carts they rent there. She has a lot of trouble walking around. It will definitely slow us up, but as long as the family is together, it doesn't matter. The important thing, is that my kids have an outing with the family and their grandparents and have those memories later on. When my father-in-law passed away last year, it made everybody realize how short life is and they have to spend as much time with the family as possible. All I know, is that I'm looking forward to it and hope my son loves it. Anyway, that is all for now, Hope you all have a great weekend.
Later,
Jonathan
