Environmentalist Dilemma
June 10th 2009 23:15
The UN wants us to ban something again because they perceive an environmental threat. Plastic bags are an allege threat to ocean life that will consume them and make its way up to the food chain of man. Probably not a problem with Peta, but they would have a problem with the dying fish!
So if plastic bags are that bad, how did they get in the oceans? If they are such a threat to the environment, how do you get rid of the trillions that currently are circulating on the planet? Plastic bags are easy to carry things like groceries. As the American Chemistry Council(another way of probably saying The Plastic Company) said in the article:
"A ban on plastic bags could also cause some unintended consequences," he said. In particular, the increased demand for paper bags would double greenhouse emissions and create "a dramatic increase in waste," Christman said.
Hmmmm...I could be wrong, but did he just talk about global warming?
Dilemma! Dilemma! Either way you hurt the environment. A fork in the environmental road can have dire consequence. Remember since neither theory has been proven, it is all here say. A real study should focus more on how the plastic made its way into the ocean before banning it.

PETA claim we should all be vegetarians, yet I dont think any of them understand the agricultural process very well. Enough fields to feed 6 billion vegetarins would wipe out a lot of species that we dont kill right now. Could the earth even support 6 billion vegos? They dont think of that.
Big picture everyone!
