Faceless faces screaming words that I can never hear,
Sifting, shifting, hissing, ripping, and you're nowhere near,
Blurry, changing, racing, scraping, everything unclear,
Meanings in the meaninglessness are what I fear.
Faceless faces staring at me, no mouths to up-end,
Messages without words floating 'round that I can't send,
Faceless faces staring at me, following a trend,
Blaming me, they slap me, ask me, where is your best friend?
Broken sounds all shattering, crescendos of the damned,
Faceless faces screaming at me, none know who I am,
Faceless faces watching me, I do all that I can,
But faceless faces do not care, I am only a man.
Faceless faces, teeth and claws, sinking to the bone,
No longer fighting, crying, sighing, no whimper, not a moan,
Aspirations meaningless, why try when you're alone?
Faceless faces, bear no ill, my heart has turned to stone.
