England vs India, 2nd ODI - with Highlights
January 15th 2013 18:21
England were back to the form that deserted them in the first ODI. The form that saw them lose both warm up games, and has now seen them demolished by an Indian team that looked re-vitalized and just a lot, lot better.
India look like they have changed their whole mind set since the Test matches. There they looked lethargic and dis-interested. But as soon as the shorter, One-Day formats took prominence, they looked, as I said earlier, re-vitalized. They became quicker in the field, and more interested in all ways. This isn't the right outlook for the players who are representing the biggest cricket loving nation in the World. They need to show the youngsters that all forms of cricket are beautiful in their own right. The introduction of the IPL makes it easier for the big Indian players to promote the shortest format, but Test cricket needs to be seen as just as interesting as T20.
Anyway less of my ranting.
India 285-6 (50 overs) beat England 158 (36 overs) by 127 runs.
