Emo: fad and frustration

August 7th 2008 11:19
As stated from my last post, today's post is on the topic of emo kids. I'll start by saying I may sling a sharp swear or so, as these kids really make me mad. Also note that I am bashing the fad and the fakes, not the folk with real and serious issues. With that tidbit said, let us jump in on rant number six.

Firstly, I have no idea where this whole fad came from. (probably goth kids that wanted to branch and do something different...)
I also cannot understand why the hell anyone would want to jump in on such a stupid bandwagon. Seriously, what is so cool about this fad? What's so cool about cutting yourself over and over? (To be in on a bandwagon I mean..) Some of the dress I can understand, and the hair coloring, but not the hair covering half your face bit. To me the hair covering half the face is meant so show you're crazy, or you're bloodthirsty, something along those lines.

The main thing about this damned trend is the fact that is has screwed over some people's chances of getting help when they really need it! I myself and a victim of quite a few disorders and problems, and I cannot get help because of this damn trend. People think I'm faking it or I'm doing it for the attention or whatever other BS reason. Same goes for other people that need the help. The fact that we don't dress like this scumbags (least not most of us) and act like they do should be enough of an indicator that we are not one of them... Alas, people are stupid and can't see the city because of all the buildings...

Of course, if you call these kids posers they deny it, even when it is so very, very obvious. Sometimes it's like denying that you're wet when you're in a damn swimming pool.
They cause many issues for us that need help because they are fakes and make it obvious. Sometimes we that heed help literally have to go do some ape shit crazy act in order to make it clear that we need the help. By that time though, it's usually too late, and the blame gets placed on other, non-related stuff.

I'm not bashing people for dressing as they want to or living life how they want to. When it interferes with other, more serious things is when I have a problem. Especially when it gets way out of hand.

In short and to wrap this up, feel free to do as you like, just don't screw someone else over (Unless the deserve it..-evil grin-). To any 'emo' kid out there that might read this; go find yourself another damn hobby.

This is Anthoric the Angry saying: Acting plastic and elastic is not a good tactic and I don't think it to be fantastic...(Translation: Don't be a poser. Unless you really need to.)
