Email Notification and Stats Survey

Some people are reporting that they are not receiving notification or statistics emails. As far as I can tell they are being sent, they are just not getting to their destination.

To help me try to figure out exactly what is happening it would be helpful if you could take the time to tell me:

Are you getting all the emails from Orble that you should be?

If not, which ones are you not receiving?

Which email provider do you use? Hotmail, Gmail, work address etc.

Do you get the emails some days and not others? or do you just not get them at all?

When did you start noticing problems?

Jon,

I run yahoo, and I've been having problems with notifications about comments being posted and even a lot of notifications about other blogs I've subscribed to...everyday I have to browse through the Writers list name by name just to see if anyone's posted anything new, and almost every one that I've subscribed to has...

Unfortunetly I haven't been notified about any of them...I have however been getting some of my stats for both my blogs from Orble, but only once in a while...Occasionally one or two blog notifications will pop up, but usually they dont...

Problem started about a month ago as far as I can tell...

I run Yahoo, and I haven't been recieving notices of new blog postings from anythig I subscribe to, I've just been checking here everyday.

I've only got two stats reports this week and this has been going on for about a week and a half for me. Hope this helps and things get fixed.

I use yahoo mail and have had issues. Issues apply to notification of new posts, as well as notification to comment replies. Sometimes notifications will come in a day or two late, sometimes not at all... and then other times, it works just fine and I get all the notifications I'm supposed to.

If you're looking to stay notified about new posts, I recommend using RSS.

I wrote a post about it, a long, long time ago.

Jon,

still getting nothing from Orble now...nothing at all! Only traffic stats but no notifications about new posts, comments ro anything...

Traffic has really slowed down on both my blogs in the past couple of weeks because I don't think everybody is getting notified when I post! And, I'm sure their traffic is slowing down as well!

LOL

Yes, over the last few days I haven't been getting notifications from blogs that I've written on.

I use Outlook and it was working fine, but it doesn't seem to be now.

I'm using Gmail, and I get some notifications but not others. For example, I commented on posts on Rucks and Rolls, Celebrity and JohnDoe's film reviews yesterday, and didn't get notifications on replies from Celebrity, but did for the other two.

I'm with Yahoo, some of mine were coming through, but some were ending up in the Bulk Mail folder. Add the email address it's coming from (admin@orble.com, stats@orble.com, admin@whatever you're subscribing to) to your address book and they'll come into your Inbox every time.
Probably the same with Hotmail & any other web mail.

My stats are still coming in everyday to my Inbox (Hotmail), and none are ending up in Junk Mail. The problem with not receiving emails started about a week ago, though i'm still getting the odd one through.

RSS feeds are a good idea temporarily Cib, but i prefer the email system. Question; do RSS feeds give you a notifcation of sorts when a new feed is added?
