Elvis Auction
July 28th 2010 05:38
Remember Elvis's grand piano which he played at in his Graceland home? You must! It is the centrepiece of everything in the room behind the stained peacock glass windows. Well it is going to be sent up against the hammer at auction, and is going to be expected to collect around 645 thousand pounds.
A 1955 signed record contract (RCA) is also going under the hammer, and is expected to collect around 97 thousand pounds. A Graceland purchase agreement is going for sell at an expected 22 thousand pounds. A four page handwritten love letter to girlfriend Anita Wood is going for an expected 48 thousand pounds. Other items are gold-framed sunglasses, Presley's address book, and phone book are also going under the hammer.
Some instruments used in his autopsy were also going to go under the hammer – but they were found to be unauthentic. But rubber gloves, a toe tag, and other tools from the autopsy unit are also to go under the hammer and are rumoured to collect around 9 thousand pounds.
When is it going to be held? 14 August 2010.
