Elvis and Singing

Elvis was said to have done drugs to improve his voice. However sometimes, easpecually early on, he also relied on an effective heart murmur in order to get those vocal strings coming out all wafty and almost ghost-like. This did him well, however when he found the right drugs to drink he began to grow in confidence. He was able to forget about his murmur in order to sing nice and loud. This was aconfidence builder which he needed to really wow people in the media who called him 'a amaeture singer with pleasing quailty but low vocal skill'.
