Dual-Zone Heated Cargos Nut Warmer

November 22nd 2006 22:49
Heated Cargos
The cold, winter season is upon us yet again so why take the risk of freezing your nuts off each time you walk out of the door? The Dual-Zone Heated Cargos from Brookestone is just the thing to keep you warm and cozy, from waist down at least. It looks like a normal pair of cargo pants from the outside, but like momma always told me, never judge a book by its cover.

This khaki-colored cargos come with fleece lining on the inside, but that's not the thing that makes it special. It is the integrated carbon-fiber heating elements inside that are strategically positioned across the lower back and inside of the pockets which keep your hands warm. The heated cargos come with a rechargeable battery that can keep you warm for a few hours at a stretch before requiring a recharge. A wired remote is included with each $150 purchase for you to control the temperature.

Racewood Equiciser riding robot

November 14th 2006 17:54
Racewood Equiciser
You can now settle for equestrian lessons without having to go through the trouble of grooming your horse as well as polishing saddles. The Equiciser from Racewood enables potential horse riders to hone their skills without the need to mount a real horse. This unique simulator is more than capable of responding according to the various pokes and squeezes dished out by the rider to provide the most authentic horse riding experience possible.

Hopefully Racewood did not include a surprise piece of programming that throws the rider off in a bronco-bustin' move should there be one jab too many.

There is no word on pricing details regarding the Equiciser, but a quick check with Racewood's site shows that there are several simulator breeds to choose from if your budget permits.

Stormtrooper Mimobot up for pre-order

November 9th 2006 17:44
Stormtrooper Mimobot
Check out this extremely cute USB flash drive that comes in the shape of a Stormtrooper, the bungling backbone of the Imperial Army who cannot shoot straight. I guess they do nothing all day except to polish their white armor until they can use them as mirrors. Jokes aside, the Stormtrooper Mimobot is the third in the first series of Mimobots from Mimoco, with the first two being Darth Vader and Chewbacca.

Available in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB versions, the Stormtrooper Mimobot is available in limited quantity (currently set at 2,500 units). They aren't cheap though, with the 1GB version retailing for $80. You can pre-order yours today to avoid disappointment.

Ear warmers with headphones

Ear warmers with headphones
The winter season is about to drop on those living Stateside, while other places are just thawing out. Nevertheless, whenever the mercury drops to dangerously low levels, wearing a pair of ear warmers is almost compulsory to keep your listening apparatus nice and happy. Unfortunately, when your ears are covered with a pair of warmers, it is pretty hard to stuff in a pair of headphones to rock to your favorite tunes.

There is a solution to this conundrum - the Tec Fleece Ear Warmers with Stereo Headphones from 180s. Each pair comes with a pair of JVC headphones inside, ensuring you get to enjoy your music while keeping your ears warm. There won't be any more issues about your headphones running off all by itself or an uncomfortable placement. You can pick up a pair for $40 today. It comes only in black, so ladies who love pink will just have to grit their teeth and get on with the program.

Mottainai brings some desktop bling

November 6th 2006 07:55
Mottainai USB flash drive
SolidAlliance of Japan has unveiled its new USB flash drive that comes in 2GB of capacity and a totally radical design that places the Mottainai in the realm of techno-art. This USB flash drive is adorned with crystals from a major Japanese crystal glassmaker, Statsuma Kiriko, complete with a dash of gold. The Mottainai is encased in a bronze body and would definitely make a great glitzy present for geek girlfriends. Unfortunately, the Mottainai retails at an astronomical 600 Euros which can net you a pretty diamond ring (or two) instead.

RunAway adapter fits all shoes

November 3rd 2006 08:22
Runaway Adapter
If you're one of those health nuts who love jogging above all else, chances are you will already possess a digital audio player of some sort. It also goes without saying that the said MP3 player will most likely be a flash-based iPod that you carry with you whenever you pound the pavement.

Those who have the dough to splash on a pair of high end Nike sports shoes that are compatible with the Nike iPod Sport Kit might look all smug about it, but for average Joes like me who do not have the money to splurge on shoes that cost hundreds of dollars will have to make do with generic brands

RoboMop named after wrong verb

November 3rd 2006 08:15
Robomop
The RoboMop helps you keep the house floor spic and span, regardless of whether your floor is made from wood, granite, marble, ceramic tiles, or lineoleum. This device is smart enough to move about on its little own robotic ball, picking up dust from the floor and around the air using electrostatic pads.

This means it does a clean sweep but does not actually mop the floor. Make sure you don't have any cats or dogs around the house while using the RoboMop as they will most probably chase it down and give it a few good bites or swipes with their paws, rendering your electronic household assistant maimed for life

Touche I find it redundant, and to fork out US$250 a pop for it is just insane! You can get a Nintendo DS Lite and a half for that kind of money...
