Dress-Ups at the ARIAs

It's Halloweeen! And how foolish am I, not realising that the ARIAs were dress-up themed? Here was I watching them on sunday night, thinking most Australian pop musicians are tiresome and unoriginal and just depressingly bland imitations of overseas bands that actually have talent, when all along they were being BRILLIANT. I realise now they were paying tribute.

It's so witty! So postmodern!

Why don't I share my personal favourites?

Guy Sebastian came as 'Poor Man's Usher'

TV Rock dressed up as 'Poor Man's Scissor Sisters'

Katy Steele of Little Birdy chose 'Poor Man's Karen O'

and ARIA winners Eskimo Joe rocked 'Poor Man's Green Day'

I can't decide which "Veronica" is crazy-sexy-cooler? Lisa or Jess? ... and which one is which?? One seems to have a lazy eye ... one apparently has lots of piercings (hmmm, i wonder where pray tell ...)

haha bryn ... poor, naive bryn. wolfmother didn't have to get into costume to fit in with the other costumes. they could just go as what they always are: poor man's led zeppelin.

the veronicas went for the olsen twins though, don't you think?

unless the one of them who looks like she has a bung eye is actually just half winking as part of a paris "bung eye" hilton costume. which I like to think is true, because it would be awesome.
