Dream Interpreter... can you remember your strangest dream?
October 4th 2006 12:55
Have you ever woken up after a crazy dream and thought what the f*** was that all about? The worst ones are those nightmares that go on and on for hours. You wake up shivering in a sweat, but when you go back to sleep you're back in the psycho killer's dungeon.
I've always wondered about the meaning behind my dreams. Last night I had a weird one, where I was flying through outer space from planet to planet and swirling past stars. I was attached to the Earth by a white cord and there was someone way down below me, but I'm stuffed if I know who it was. It was surreal, to say the least.
If you've seen that movie "Out on a Limb" with Shirley McLane, you might say that what I had last night was an astral journey, or an outer body experience. The cord back to Earth, the whizzing past signs...yep, some would argue that my spirit went AWOL into the outer regions of our universe last night.
I'm not sure that I can believe that one, but that's not to say that I don't believe dreams have some symbolic quality. I think they symbolise aspects of our lives that we consider important. For example, in last night's dream, I encountered my bro on one of these planets, who lives in Japan. Last night's dream simply illustrates how much I miss him and the distance between us.
SO tell me about your dreams and I'll have a crack at analysing them. What are your thoughts on outer body experiences and do you believe dreams are symbolic of our lives or are they just a way to pass time during slumber? Sweet dreams...

I was on a mountain with a friend, and a local was telling us how this mountain has the best slopes in the known universe.
We end up[ taking a space age elevator to the top of the mountain. My friend mysteriously dissapears, and I have to change to another elevator to reach the peak.
On the elevator was a really attractive lady. I couldn't help but stare at her. She looked at me twice then started talking to me. I can'tremember the conversation very well, all I know is i got her number.. WOOHOO!! lol
Finally at the peak of the mountain, I got off and there was a warzone. Futuristic Mech Warrior style machines were bombing each other and I quickly binded myself to my snowboard to board away from the danger.
Finally, I get the bindings on and board down the slopes, running away from a Mech trying to kill me. A dodge its shots and then see anoher Mech in front of me. I try to meneuver past it but end up sliding straight into the Mech warrior and SLAM!!!!.....
I wake up. Wierest dream I've ever had.

Thanks for the comment. That's quite a dream. Let me just get out my crystal ball and have a ponder before I analyse the inner intricacies of your mind....hmm.. Let's give it a crack....
The Mountain: This represents a problem in your life and how you deal with them. As your problem gets bigger, you rely more and more on yourself, for your friend is nowhere to be seen. When times get rough, you search within yourself.
The Elevator: You know where you're headed in life, but you're not necessarily sure how to get there. You might have to detour along the way.
The Lady: You're easily distracted from the task at hand, but seek comfort in the company of others. You lady killer!
Mech Machines and Warfare: What the? I haven't got anything for this part....ummm you watch too much sci-fi????
Well, now that I have analysed your subconscious mind, go forth my child...and follow that imagination of yours....over and out.
