Dream Diary: The Beach
November 9th 2006 13:54
It was dark, I ran up to the boy in front of me and held his hand. We were on a beach, hardly anyone about, the waves were crashing. There was an elephant ahead, the person riding it was a previous manager from my work who I shouted insults at and proceeded to laugh at how funny they were. I cant really understand why I did this, but soon enough he stated, “Im going to kill you!”
The chase begins, Im running as fast as I can, which in any other dream isn’t fast enough, however in this one, it seemed to be. I find myself in a pitch black building, with curtains and tables running down each hallway. I could hear his footsteps, I locked myself in a little room in the corner. The boy I was with on the beach knocks on the door and tells me he is gone and that he will come back for me in the morning. This boy later turns out to be one of my colleagues, who really is very young indeed. He is the hero of my dream.
I awake in this small, dark room to find the windows are open, a small cat cooing at me and a spilled cup of coffee. As promised my hero comes back for me in the morning and takes me back along the beach.
Soon enough we are at a party, which my hunter is at. We crowd into a room full of people, me trying desperately to remain unnoticed and the killer trying to deviate around the crowd, toward me.
Suddenly there is no crowd and it is just our circle of friends. The killer who was a man is a now woman and I give my best fake apology ever, with full eye contact. I watch carefully for a flicker of mental disturbance, which I detect. However, feel comfortable my apology was believed.
That is all I can remember.
My wiz bang phone has a connection to an alleged ‘dream dictionary’ and since I cannot really justify buying any literature on this subject, I find the insight into my nocturnal life and the connection to my daily life fascinating and yet hard to believe from this singular source.
Dream Dictionary says:
* An Empty Beach is a sign of opportunity you should grab with both hands. (Opportunities are everywhere, so that is a really vague bit of advice.)
* Running indicates I am trying to escape from a tricky situation (um.. being killed?) if you see yourself running. Run scared and you will be cut off from something you enjoy. (I hope it’s not orble)
* A big building fore-casts changes in your lifestyle. I do not think it was an old building, but if it was dream dictionary says I should start saving for rainy days. (still very vague, there are always changes in my lifestyle!)
*If they are opened, you will outwit somebody who is against you. (I hope it was the killer because there were open curtains.)
*If you spill coffee you’re in for some disappointments. (No changes then!)
* Hiding indicates that one of your schemes will give you regrets later – and that deep down I really know this don’t I? (It is too early to tell at present!)
