In Maine there is a church called the Temple for Advanced Enlightenment. It is run by the Rev. Kevin Loring. The temple wants to work with police and city officials to devise a plan to distribute medical marijuana to residents who have prescriptions for cannabis. How sweet!
Since there is a picture of the good Rev sucking on a pipe, one has to ask if this enlightened one has a prescription to use medical marijuana? Not really, because it seems that he wants to use it like certain Native-Americans use the peyote during worship. Since smoking pot is one of the temple's sacraments the Rev. seeks exemption for church worship.
