My mum is in for a real treat. This is a pair of socks that I am making for her, using Peruvian Baby Silk. This is a baby alpaca and silk blend, and they are knitting up into the softest socks I have ever felt.


Elann Baby Silk


I like to shop online at Elann because they supply good quality and luxury yarns at such great discounted prices. The Baby Silk is only $2.85US per ball.

The pattern is from Folk Socks by Nancy Bush, just the basic sock pattern - I think this yarn is special enough without adding extra detail.

And for anyone who thinks handknit socks are so yesterday, I'll leave you with this
