Sitting here watching ESPN and I have to say sportsnation definitely got this one right. At this point if Major League Baseball doesn't make all of their steroid information public the game will always be viewed as tainted by the casual fan. Of course you will have your die hard left and right wingers. You know them, the FANatic whose team and players can do no wrong. Or the guy who couldn't tell you what NBA team Michael Jordan played for. In the end it is the casual fan that drives the market for all professional teams. Unless your talking soccer, thats a whole other story. Those guys are CRAZY! So die hards and casual fans alike, what are your thoughts on releasing the 2003 MLB steroid list?
Don't expect to see to much change atop the NBA Westeren Conference. Reported today that the LA Lakers reach a 4 year deal with star forward Lamar Odom. Lamar proved to be a huge peice of the Lakers championship run last and with the recent of addition of Ron Artest the Lake show appears to be heading in the same direction. Number 5 for Kobe?
As if the nation's past time had not fallen on hard enough times in the last 4 years in the "juiced era", yet more names have become leaked from the infamous steroid list of 2003. Today it was reported that Red Sox's smash brothers, Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz were among the 104 players listed to have tested positive for performance enhancing substances. Both Ramirez and Ortiz were key parts of the unbelievable Red Soxs run to the World Series title in 2004, as well as the title run in 2007. While some were probably shocked of the news, I on the other had just shrugged my shoulders and chalked it up as yet another sad story in the game I grew up loving. Steorids put baseball back on the map in the late 90's and now is high on the radar of public scrutiny. CLEAN THE GAME UP!!!
