Materials:
1 oz. Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn in Spring Green
1 oz. Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn in Bright Yellow
Crochet hooks sizes G, H, I (i)
Size: 8" x 8"
Gauge: 4 rows sc=just under 1"
Row 1: With G hook and Spring Green, ch 31, switch to H hook, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each ch across, ch 1, turn (30 sc).
Row 2: Sc in each sc across, changing to Bright Yellow in end of last sc, ch 1, turn (30 sc).
Rows 3-4: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (at end of Row 4, change to Spring Green in end of last sc, ch 1 turn) (30 sc).
Rows 5-6: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (at end of Row 6, change to Bright Yellow in end of last sc, ch 1, turn) (30 sc).
Repeat Rows 3-4 then Rows 5-6 until piece measures 8" square (you'll have about 9 green stripes and 9 yellow stripes), fo (30 sc).
Optional Edging: Holding 1 strand Spring Green and 1 strand Bright Yellow together and using Size I (i) hook, surface sl st evenly around entire edge of playmat, join w sl st in 1st sl st, fo.
Weave in ends. Enjoy!
