Doctors who take advantage of their Patients (Part 3)

(Part 1) (Part 2)
Feeling a bit at ease, knowing that their child had gone through the danger unscathed, both parents remain silent inside the car along the way home. Only to be broken by the sound of laughter from their child. Finally, they smiled and took a deep breath.
The following day in their offices, the mother was asked about her child's CT scan results. One of her office mates asked, "So, how was it? Is the baby fine?" Smiling, she replied, "Yes our baby's fine, my husband immediately told me after the scan. He was with the med-tech staff all along the process took place. He knows about looking through scans based on the research that he made on the internet."
Another one said, "Is it finally over now?" Nodding her head, "Not yet, we still need to go to another hospital for the final check-up, the doctor still wants to make sure that there's no problem with his Thyroid Hormone."
The one on her left side said, "And what about you husband, what did he say?"
"Well, he said that, he was right in the first place, and that, he was also right that this doctor was just trying to get some money out from us. I do believe what he's saying, but I feel that, I want to do this for my son. I want to make sure that he's really alright, and it's good to know while it's still early."
Most of them agreed with what she said, and after a few more conversations, they went to their desks and started working.
On the father's side, his office mates asked him, "Yesterday, did things go well?" He answered, "Yup, it did, I'm glad it did, but this is just 50% of the case. My wife still wants to follow this doctor's advice to go for a hormone check in a government hospital. Another expense, and I'm figuring out, that this is the way for this doctor to escape her 'trap', after getting the money from us."
His office mate at his back asked, "A hormone check-up? Is that really necessary?" He then said, "If you're going to ask me, this is nothing more than non-sense already. That doctor is really smart to shove us to another doctor in another hospital, that way, she would be relieved of the case 'she made up' and would be able to get my wife consoled by another doctor. Pretty neat trick if you ask me."
The last one said, "Well, she already got her commission from the CT Scan, and sending you off to meet another doctor is her escape route." Agreeing, "That's how her game works, I'll just go through with this final step so my wife wouldn't feel bad anymore. And to get this case off of our shoulders for good."
Both parents took a day-off from work on the day they went to the hospital. Since it was a government hospital, people who came were in numbers, queues were long and coming in early was a must. They arrived there before lunch time to register. Since their appointment was scheduled to be in the afternoon, they had to stay for an hour waiting for the staff to start working again.
At around 1pm, the nurses started calling names to people queued in the list, after 15 minutes, they heard their child's name and went to the counter to get their profile. They were directed to the right part of the examination rooms. The nurse called out each child's name for a check on weight and temperature.
"It feels good inside this area compared to the lobby, since here it's air-conditioned," the father exclaimed. The mother agreed and said, "Wait for a while I'll go check with the nurse counter to ask if the doctor we have to meet is here." He looked at his wife as she went to the inquire with the nurse, when she came back she said, "The nurse said that the doctor we have to meet is here, he would be in room #9."
After waiting for the queue for more than an hour, their baby's name was called. Only to find out that they were in the wrong area, as the doctor was in room #2. Taking a deep breath of dismay, both parents went to the other side and again, waited for another queue.
It took them more than an hour again until their turn was up. The mother went inside with the child to talk with the doctor, as the father waited.
A few minutes passed and the mother came out, smiling, the father knew that things are fine. She told her husband, "the doctor said that our baby's fine, after looking at the CT Scan results. He said that our baby doesn't have any disorders."
With these last few words, they went out to the cashier section. Totally, they paid less than $2 for that appointment, the only thing that was expensive was the parking fee, which cost them around $3, for parking for almost 5 hours.
It was a funny exhausting day, and they headed for a restaurant to get some food to eat. Having their lunch at around 5pm, they felt so happy and relieved that this case is finally over. And their child is safe from any experiments.
Moral of this Real-Life story:
In making decisions, especially for our loved-ones, we always want the best and also the safest way. And in dealing with life's unexpected issues, we should always be strong and open-minded to get the right information in making the right move.
If you're not satisfied with a doctor's opinion about you case or someone else's, seek for another advice from one or more doctors from different hospitals before you go agree.
Always remember that we have a choice.
