Do Things Together
December 13th 2011 06:02
Anyone who is dating someone right now will obviously spend time with them during the holiday season. The two of you will spend time going to Christmas parties, shopping and with family or each other on Christmas Day. Then there will be the annual New Year’s Eve celebration.
Doing things together is very important in dating. It allows you to get to know one another and spend time together. As I always say there is nothing a person can give that is more precious than their time. There are many ways to spend time with one another.
Most of us start out by going out to dinner and maybe a movie or show. This way of spending time together is time tested. If the relationship is in the early stages we may go to lunch a few times first.
But once the relationship gets a little more serious we begin to look for things to do together. We try to find like interests so that the hours not spent dating are used to do the things we like. This may include going to the gym, taking classes together or even doing charitable work. We may spend this time doing projects at home or with groups.
If you have children then time is spent taking care of their needs and helping them with their different pursuits. Some of the time only one of you may participate, but other times both of you will.
And you don’t have to go out to find things to do. There is nothing wrong with spending an evening at home over dinner, television or a good book. Or spending time fixing up the house or landscaping the yard.
The main thing is finding things that you both like to do together and doing them.
It’ll make you both much happier with the relationship
