DJ Dapto's Rant of the Week

Hello All
Well it has been a while since my last rant and it seems so much has happened so lets not beat around the bush and get straight into it.
Andrew "ROY" Symmonds - Poor old Roy just doesn't seem to get on with our cricketing neighbours to the north. Once again the big fella has put his own personal preferences ahead of the job of tackling the mighty cricketing nation that is Bangladesh. It seems every time we are due to play them that Roy the Boy decides to go and lose the plot. Firstly he gets drunk and can't play them in a one dayer over in England on the failed tour of 2005 and now he decides that instead of going to a team meeting he will go and drop a line in for a barramundi or two. He claims that he is still suffering the effects of a stressful summer from last season when he and the indians went toe to toe. Well Roy my old mate all that stress didn't stop you taking off to india at the end of that summer and collecting an easy million dollars for doing very little it must be said.
The problem with Roy the Boy is he is a victim of circumstances, so he will tell you. This folks is just utter bullshit. He has used the Shaun Tait defence that the media scrutiny on the Australian cricket team and living life in a fish bowl has taken its toll. This is still bullshit!!!!!!!
Any man in this great country of ours would give his left nut to be able to wear the baggy green and too many players who can't cut it anymore want to blame us the public instead of standing up and taking responsability for themselves.
The bottom line here folks is that Roy the Boy has exhausted a lot of friendships in this current Australian team and now instead of sticking his hand up and saying he has behaved like a goose he wants to go around and blame the average man in the street for his troubles.
I have some advice for you Roy - In the words of Chopper Read Harden the F#%K up!!!!!!!!!!
Moving right along Australina Olympic team - Certain athletes should be ashamed of their performances and their under achieving ways. I mean for christ sakes guys we finished lower down the list than the pommy's!!!!!!!!! Very disappointing indeed......
The Gold medal here goes to Eamon Sullivan (ironic to think that this may be the only gold he will ever win.........) Not only did he lose the race but he lost the girl to Baltimore Bullet - One Michael Phelps.
Seems size does matter and poor little Eamon's silver comes up well short of Phelp's eight gold. I don't blame Stephanie Rice for trading up but did she have to go for a Yank!!!!
Mind you when you look around the talent pool of Australian athletes she doesn't have much to choose from really..........
Well that's all for this edition of the Rant so until we meet again this is DJ Dapto saying that if the olympics have taught us nothing else that Gold gets the girl and the more golds you get the hotter the chick will be......
