DJ Dapto's Rant of the Week

Welcome all to DJ Dapto's Rant of the Week
This blog is dedicated to having a look at the week that was and having a crack at things that just piss me off................
First of all I would like to start by saying The Daily Telegraph is the most pathetic peice of media that I continually come accross. A wise man I know (Cal-bi-wan) told me that the media is supposed to report on things without bias or opinion. So why then does the Daily Shit-a-grapgh continue to write such positive things about one Michael Clarke?????? Twice in the past week I logged onto their website to catch up on some second rate news when I come across a section at the end of one of their articles where you could submit a comment. No probs been there done that before but the moment you write anything bad about the man known as "pup" or "nemo" I mean really he deserves to have the piss taken out of him based on nicknames alone. The Daily Telegraph refuse to add you to the list because they don't see your comment as adding to the debate. I thought that in a debate there are people arguing for the positive and the negative. Clearly over there they decide that if they don't like you having a go at a player who is a media darling then your opinion is not valid.
I believe they refused to add the comment based on the fact that the daily telegraph writers had written how he had saved the test and won the match for Australia....... CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I submitted my opinion based on the fact that it was India's lack of toughness and their failure to bat two sessions and play for a draw that cost them that test nothing more and nothing less. Also people seem to forget that on the opening day of that test they had Australia in trouble at 6/150 odd and let Australia off the hook. Don't anyone go blaming bad umpiring decisions because that's a load of bull too. Yes Roy got the benefit of a dodgy decision but they still didn't put Australia away when they had the chance.
Then on sunday I submitted a comment saying that "pup" had chased the personal glory of a 100 instead of putting the teams needs first becuase he is a selfish player and was again told my comment offered nothing to the debate. Clearly they are kidding themselves. I challenged his patience and his abiity to bat with lower order batsmen in the same way that Steve Waugh and Allan Border did in the past by nursing them through a few overs and helping to build there confidence and chasing down the runs. I also challenged them to prove how he is worthy of being considered a future Australian captain if this is his mentality??????
Again the writers in the Sunday Telegraph had written his praises by saying he was the only one to offer any resistance to the Indian bowlers and that he now is clearly the future of Australian cricket.............Come on we aren't as stupid as you guys look...........
Clearly around the offices of the Daily Telegraph hes is known as Koala as he seems to a protected species. So much for being without bias or opinion.
This has been the first edition of DJ Dapto's rant of the week with more to follow...........
I do welcome all feedback either positive or negative unlike the aforementioned publication you will be listened to............

What a fiery beginning! You've left nothing in the tanks for your first outing, top stuff. Your point about Clarkey being a protected species with the Tele is a surprise, and yet not all that surprising at all (if that makes any sense). I'm a little concerned about the Adelaide test - I think Australia will breathe a huge sigh of relief if they manage to get through it in tact...
cant wait for it to start though.
