Did you hear that?

Its the sound of the market crashing, and its happening all around us. Its an insistant, incessant noise, not to loud but persistant. Like debtors, we bury our heads in the sand and say, "Oh, its not my problem..It cant affect me" but guess what, its coming. No one can avoid it.
Sometime before christmas, my boyfriend told me that instead of being upset by my constant inability to find work, we should instead just be happy that at least one of us had a job. He works in stock, so he's seen the panic first hand. Buyers desperately cancelling orders because they cant pay for it - no one is buying. Car companies are getting nervous. Ezy DVd has fallen. Even Sony is having trouble paying its bills. This wisdom from my man did not sink in at first, but the new year rolled around...And it hit me. Hard.
I get a local paper and a paper that covers the local area. I go to the local first, flip through to the classifieds. Theres lots of shit for sale, tons of 'work wanted'....But no positions vacant. Puzzled, I flipped around, checking every page, even the contents list. No positions vacant. None. I was stunned.
So I go to the next paper, which usually has up to six pages. One page. One seedy little page. What does this mean people?
There are no jobs. Do you see the trickle down affect? Do you understand it? No one buys. So there are no jobs. And no one has the money to buy anything cos they dont have jobs. Big companies cant pay for shit cos no ones buying. So they cut jobs, cos they cant pay people. So people cant buy shit. Do you see? DO YOU SEE?
Lets not forget, as well, the major compounding factor - intellectuals dont breed. We are far too caught up on our intellect and improving upon it and the world we live in. So the droves of dumb and stupid replicate their almost worthless genes to infinitum, outstripping the intellectuals by at least 5 kids. Now, like most animals that spawn litters, they lose a few, generally in their teenage years, but that still beats the intellectuals that may produce one or two kids in their mid 30s and 40s. Hence, the onrushing train to absolute doom and the destruction of the human race continues to speed along its twisted track with not enough intellegent people to try and figure out how to slow it down. In the long run, we're doomed, any animal that makes it to the top of the food chain is destined to be doomed. We've got to get our heads around that.
But if thats too big for you, then focus on the problem at hand - the financial system of consumerisim is in big trouble. Its failing, coughing, holding its holdings close to its chest and trying to fight the sickness. But so far nothings worked. A billionare threw himself in front of a train for fucks sake. Japans suicide rate has gone through the roof. Its rolling, its happening, and the class system is set to level out.
Personally for me, its exciting. Its the coming of anarchy. And its all comin up Arnathi, its everything I ever wanted. Hang on kids, its gonna be a bumpy ride.
