this is update number 5....
the time is 4:38pm Saturday night......I am going out tonight. With my girls. There are four of us, and we are all single. It's the long weekend, and in the town where I live, it's also the annual 26th Jazz Festival!! Woohoooo.... Despite the crappy weather, rain, wind and cold - it's still a great weekend in the town.
The atmosphere is quite heigtened and bursting with energy as restaurants and cafes, the pizza place, even the ice-creameries stay open late into the night, and often have live jazz bands playing inside their premises, or outside on the walkways. The oldies - because basically that's the majority of participants, are getting right into the weekend. Their dress is flamboyant, their hats big, their badges - sometimes all 26 of them - are worn with pride. And dancing!!! The find a spot, they'll dance it up. ON the street, in the cafe, up the alley - you'll see all ages, all sorts, whooping it up dancing, humming along, clapping - enjoying, appreciating, and having a bloody good time!
So, me and my girls are going out in the cold and the wet, to join in with this exciting atmosphere that is the Jazz weekend....and I plan on getting very drunk!
This post isn't an advert to show off my drunkeness or how silly I can get, it's more of a social and self experiment - I want to see what happens to my mind and my (in)ability to write on a public forum. I want to see what happens when I come home tonight and have a go at writing on here - maybe I wont be able to - maybe I'll be too drunk, too tired, can't turn the computer on - hey, maybe I'll have company!!
Whatever the outcome, I want to see. I know, it might be a mindless boring excuse of a post - but it could also be interesting....okay, on that note.....cheers...I've just poured and had my first sip of red wine...the time is now 5:08pm........
6:06pm...finished first glass....having trouble spelling....typing....should just leave mistakes and typos in...but am able to correct....i have put food into my tummy....and am trying to have a chat with an old school friend - infact one from KINDY!!! whom I found on the internet....he's a photographer...of nude girls...he's good at it!!! You just ask him......
Anyhoo....feel tipsy.....feel light....feeling kinda cool and groovy...like i want to dance...but not yet......need a few more...deb's coming with more food soon....that'll prolly sober me up a bit.....ah dear.........okay....Tony is flirting with me now...pity he lives so far away....I know he'd be a sure thing...he's such a slut......6:12pm
6:31pm..come on deb...i need more food....
6:50pm..I am now singing....this is a bad sign, for i suck massively at singing......but apparently when drunk I think I can sing well....strange that...Deb's still not here...she's sacked....Tony's deserted me.....must have something better on........
I am listening to my favourite music now.....Dandy Warhols...a bit different from the Jazz I am going to endure soon...if Deb ever gets her ass here....waiting waiting...always with the waiting......baby...come on...yeah.........sorry...sin ging......Deb's here!!! yay, she has food...right, i reckon this will be my last post till later.......gotta go...yay...HERE WE COME JAZZ FESTIVAL!!!!!! 6:57PM
it's 2:04am Sunday morning...listening to the freaking Bee Gee's on my computer.....lordy help me!!! Drank lots of red wine....scotch and dry......and more, scotch and dry....however...we managed to make the taxi driver wet his pants laughing....but i'm not sure if he was laughing at us, with us, because of us...or...we were soooooo fucking funny, no...really we were...well Okay...I was...the other's just laughed at me.......I wonder....anyway.......Deb and I are sat at the table...
