The Development of a hotel property is not easy as ABC. Its involves lots of hard-work and lots of dedication from concept to opening.
we expect this property to be a welcome addition to the business and tourism infrastructure of this city. The hotel companies that are most successful have given careful attention to each and every process which comes to develop and open a hotel.
According to my knowledge and my experience I should say there are five steps in the development of a hotel business.
1)defining the product concept:
to get into hotel industry you should probably identify market areas that show long-term potential for hotel investment. I guess there is good option in developing a hotel business is consider a franchise product concept or an agreement with a national or internationally recognized hotel company(Hilton,Marriott) to manage your management contract. As we all know,international tourism will experience less and probably negative growth over the next six to nine months because the global economic downturn, alongside all major economic sectors. Europe, Japan and the USA, three major tourism markets, are experiencing severe economic downturns and major institutions are downgrading expectations. So I advice think twice before your make any decision.
2)collect the important information:
Before get into developing or opening a hotel you should know the price,facility requirements,seasonality and of course the size of your hotel according to the market segment and future growth potential. As well as you should have known very well that who is your competitor. Although you know that you competitor your should also concentrate finding the good location for your hotel.
