I Broke the Detox - Sue Me!
October 3rd 2006 22:15
I started a detox yesterday which involves eating wholistic foods and zero sugars - not even friuts. I have done this before and i was strict for a week but then the weekend got in the way...
Anyway I'm here to discuss this time around, and this time around I broke it in a day - that's really bad for me - I like to think I have will power - I was so very wrong.
So what was it?
I woke up this morning with "i wan't coffee" on my mind.
And that's what I had...I didn't even have anything glutinous or sugary to go with it (except for that teaspoon in the coffee) and I don't regret it for a second.
Does that make me an addict already?
I talked myself into breaking the detox because, as much as I needed to detox, I should enjoy my life - which means food, therefore coffee.
My body isn't going to hate me for it - it loved every last drop of that coffee...so who am I doing it for...the guy that wrote the book on detox? Maybe.
As I said - I did do it for a while and felt great, but realistically I didn't change my ways forever...I ammended them, but not entirely.
Have you ever detoxed? How much do I really need to do it?
I'd love to know of your experiences.
