Depressed on Tuesday

Good morning everyone.
I just got the baby in for a nap so here we go. Wrote yesterday on the Survivor finale and was reading some newspaper articles about it today and some of their thoughts on the reunion show. I saw where somebody wrote that they should spend less time on what the losers are up to now and more time on the strategy that the winners employed. While I agree with that aspect of it, that we should get to hear how the winners plotted, not everyone rooted for the person that won. People pick their favorites to root for just like in sports teams. I do want to hear what some of them are doing since they left the show. Of course the ones I hated I could not care less but it’s still nice to just hear something before they fade off into obscurity. Perhaps the answer is a two part show but I recognize that that can lead to us being Survivor’ed out. If not, then the CBS Early show does interview the winner and runner up only so we can get more of the strategy then. Give all of the participants a chance to shine for their brief moment during the reunion show.
Now, I have written about this before in other blogs, but it is bugging me again since it is now official. I am a fan of Daybreak. From what I read, one of the very few. But nonetheless, I enjoy the show. I found it gripping and I enjoyed the twists and to guess where it was going. I read over the weekend that ABC has pulled the plug on the show and the remaining episodes will be shown over the internet. While it is inconvenient, I will make do but from what I understand it will only be the episodes that were shot already and that doesn’t sound to me like there will be any resolution to the show. I hate being invested in shows where the ending will never be known. I realize that’s a chance with any new show but at least give a wrap up show to the program’s fans. It happened to me last year with Reunion and several years ago with Now and Again which ended its run with a cliffhanger that was also never resolved. I hate that and find that it puts a misplaced trust by the viewer in the network that they can invest in a serialized show. If I don’t get a satisfactory ending to Daybreak, there’s going to be hell to pay! Well, at least a tersely worded blog.
Later,
Jonathan
