Denver wins at the road with a slim margin 106-103. Let's see which of the points I've mentioned became a prominent factor in Game 2.
Yes, Denver failed to stop LA's big men. But Melo was terrifc. He has elevated his game. And he has proven that he is now in a complete all-star status. And to make the scenario worse for LA, Chauncey has been consistently superb in the play-offs.
Free throws are starting to sink for Denver. And most importantly Denver's game has matured a lot. Kleiza...4 triples. He has to continue finding those good looks.
As for LA, they need to make more of those three's and long 2's. I still wait for Vujacic to explode big time. Kobe needs reinforcements in the backcourt. Veteran Fisher needs to step-up. He needs to check Billups defensively. And I don't see the confidence I admire on Farmar all season long.
However LA was able to limit Denver's fast break and Ariza did it all, defense-offense-hussle plays. He will be a key for LA's victory.
Unfortunately, the Lakers went short, but I expect them to win in some road games.
