The Holidays are here...

December 5th 2006 13:35
I've just received my first invite of the holidays! The holidays are officially here! As I wrote about in my other blog, Christmas doesn't really start for me until the tree is up, but the next step is the holiday rush and parties.

RIght now I'm not able to drink, but I remember back in the old days, when I could drink, what my skin would look like. It would be pale and dry, with dark circles under the eyes (sometimes from fatigue and other times from smudged mascara).

If you're going out for the night, make sure you make things easy for yourself when you come home... keep everything you'll need by the sink...

eye makeup remover
cotton
cleanser
moisturizer

your skin will thank-you for it in the morning, and you will feel a lot better waking up with well cleansed and moisturized skin. If you'll be spending the night away from home, put your eye make up remover on the cotton and then put into a ziploc bag or small tupperware (depending on the size of your purse) and invest in some small refillable bottles for your moisturizer or small versions of your favorites. Your cleanser can go onto a small washcloth and put into the ziploc bag too.

Have fun this holiday season and keep those pores perfect.

I'm sorry I've been away...

AH! LIFE! It gets in the way of blogging some times. I know you will all forgive me after reading this highly entertaining post I'm about to log. Hold onto your hats, here we goooo....

I mentioned earlier about Spousekeeping, I got the idea while browsing Men Essentials, there's an article by Misty Harris, it's just good spousekeeping.

I remember a long time ago, my male cousin in Brazil would be in the kitchen on a chair with his legs spread open and my aunt popping the humongous hair bump zits in his crotch area. IT WAS GROSS! but the scene was hilarious (FYI, I was peeping, not supposed to be looking). I know there is a woman out there that has to deal with this as part of his spousekeeping! Thank goodness I escaped, a couple of generations ago we would have been married!

Now my husband gets hair bumps on his neck area, whew, I can deal with this quite easily. The hair bumps are caused by hairs that curl under the skin, you can do some things to help prevent. I've come to learn that if he exfoliates well under his neck, uses toner and then moisturizes, he does not have nearly as many occurrences. So if it's a problem you have, give it a try.

Blog ya soon.

Salutations!

November 27th 2006 03:18
Hello, my name is Delphine!! I am very happy to meet you and be the blogger for http://www.perfectpores.net

I am a U.S. Navy Wife and visited Australia about 8 years ago. My trip centered around Sydney where the ship docked, I stayed with my husband in port for a week or so and we had a GREAT time! I really enjoyed myself and we did a lot of sightseeing (I wish those pictures were digital so I could post them). We really enjoyed walking around and seeing the Opera House (even though it was closed at the time - boohoo).

When the ship carried on to Perth, I went on my own little adventure and traveled with a conservation group to eradicate Australia of non-native things like smilex (I remember this because the man I worked with was VERY passionate about removing it). I was also interviewed for a few minutes on t.v., they dared question why I paid to work, it was quite amusing.

I have three children which keep me VERY busy, I blog about our lives on http://lifesalad.blogspot.com I also blog about my beauty issues on http://steepingbeauty.wordpress.com and one more place you can find me on the web is my Barefoot Books website http://db.mybarefootbooks.com

This blog is dedicated to serving everyone, it will basically review the best info out there for protecting your skin from the sun, wind, etc... As well as strategies to keep your pores picture perfect! Be on the look out for diet, cleansing and moisturizing reminders. Feel free to ask questions or post your opinions.
