Daylight Savings
October 1st 2008 06:12
For stupid forgetful people just like me.
Daylight saving re-commences THIS Sunday 5 October 2008, at 2am when clocks are put forward one hour. This means we LOSE an hour's sleep this Saturday night/ Sunday morning. So if you need beauty sleep then go sleepies one hour earlier AFTER you put your clock forward.
Daylight saving ends Sunday 5 April 2009, at 3am summer time when clocks are put back one hour.
Daylight Saving Summary - Australia
Daylight Saving Time is observed in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory and has been synchronised across these states. Western Australia began a three year trial of daylight saving on 3 December 2006. Queensland and the Northern Territory do not observe daylight saving.
Across the south-eastern states and the ACT, daylight saving for future summers begins at 2am Eastern Standard Time on the first Sunday in October and ends at 2am Eastern Standard Time (3am summer time) on the first Sunday in April.
For Western Australia, daylight saving in 2008 will begin at 2am Western Standard Time on the last Sunday in October and end at 2am Western Standard Time (3am summer time) on the last Sunday in March 2009.
Last year I put all my clocks forward one hour on computer and phones and then little did I realise that they do it automatically and then got up as per normal and turned up to work 2 BLOODY HOURS early. So check if your computer and/ or phones will do it automatically.

Tracy - No worries at all - I had no idea either until head office sent me a reminder to make sure staff arrive and don't have the excuse - but I didn't know - they do it every year!!
Ruby - I thought it came around quicker than ever this year. I am way more of a winter person and cannot stand those stinking hot summer days unless I am off and submerged in a pool or ocean somewhere.
Thanks for the comments ladies and enjoy this "up to 39degrees" day. I am babysitting Troy again and we already had our 5am walk this morning. And now off to work in a room that creates lots of heat with broken air conditioning!! Boo that!
