After much confusion as to where and when the official notification of the car could be made, there are a few details now emerging about the new 2008 Jaguar XF.
The car will have a choice of two different engines, but both will feature the new six speed automatic transmission, and will also feature paddles for manual gear changing mounted behind the steering wheel, which will enable smooth gear changing without having to let of the steering wheel.
The 4.2 liter V8 engine supplies around 300 bhp and will power the car from zero to sixty mph in 6.2 seconds. Although the top of the range engine the 4.2 liter Supercharged V8 engine will provide the car with a staggering 420 bhp, which reduces the zero to sixty mph down to 5.1 seconds, however with both models the top speed will be capped at 155 mph.
In the US there will be three different levels of trim, these will be Luxury, Premium Luxury and of course the Supercharged sports model, each will have slight variations to the other, what the exact details are going to be we will have to wait for further details to be released.
If you are unable to wait to put your name down on the list to be one of the first owners of this fantastic car then you are in luck, Jaguar are accepting orders for the XF, although you will have to wait until March 2008 to drive get behind the wheel.

Ferrari will attempt to break the world record for the largest parade of Ferrari cars at the Formula One world championship circuit Silverstone on Saturday 9th June.
A list of some of the expected car has been released by Ferrari:
* 20 pre-1973 V12s, including two 250 GT SWB, a 250 GTO and a 275 GTB/C, as well as several Daytonas, 250 GT Lussos and even a 330 GT.
* 20 examples of Ferrari's iconic F40s, F50s and Enzos.
* 10 examples of the beautiful Dino.
* 40 examples of each of Ferrari's mid-engined 355, 360 Modena and F430.
* 20 modern V12s, including several 550 Maranello, 575M and 599 GTB Fioranos, accompanied by several 456 GT and 612 Scaglietti models.
* Several other examples of Ferrari's incredibly diverse heritage, including Testarossas, Boxers, Mondials, 308s, 328s, 348s and more.
* Bruno Senna, nephew of three times World Champion Ayrton Senna, and already a winner in his own right in GP2, will be driving one of the lead Ferrari cars in the Guinness World Record attempt.
This is a great spectacle for all fans of Ferrari and motor sport in general, as to see this many cars all in one place at one time would be just fantastic, unless you happen to be a shareholder in a car insurance company.
No doubt there will be some very impressive photo shoots after the event to show everyone, and the next event, how many 2 CV's can get to the circuit.
The whole weekend has been designated a Ferrari spectacular with racing, historic cars and so much more, tickets are around £15 to £25 depending on which day you go and children under 16 can go for free.

If you do a search on goggle for “Parking Ticket” you will end up with many sites that offer information on how to avoid paying for fines, charges and parking tickets, it would appear that there is a mini industry building up in this field, however it appears that there are even easier ways of avoiding paying a parking fine, and it will surprise many of you exactly how simple and effective it can be.
Take the case of Simeon Ademolake, a businessman and councillor from Newham, East London, two years ago he was out in his car and parked on a “Red Route” in Whitechapel, London, red routes are effectively bus lanes, these help keep the public transport system flowing and therefore in turn makes using the bus a viable alternative to using a car, Mr Ademolake parked outside a shop where he was picking up some clothes from being cleaned, he parked with one wheel on the red route, which is an offence, as he left the shop he saw a traffic warden by his car, he quickly apologised and drove off. A couple of days later he received a £50 parking ticket through the post and so the two year saga began.
How to avoid paying for a parking ticket
An appeal was lodged at the Parking and Traffic Appeals Service, the case being that a ticket issued by a traffic warden has to be placed on the vehicle or handed to the driver, clearly this was not done as Mr Ademolake received the ticket through the post, the appeal was successful, yet Transport for London decided to contest this appeal and pursued it through the High Court. The case was concluded yesterday and ruled once again in Mr Ademolake favour, the ruling being that “Motorists cannot be given a parking fine if they drive away before the ticket has been issued, the High Court decreed.” this will have some serious implications for future parking fines, and possibly any other fines that have been delivered in this manner and had been paid without any question or appeal.
Of course being a councillor Mr Ademolake should have know better, and on the other hand parking tickets should be issued correctly, when is this ever going to be sorted out, CCTV, fines, charges and now parking tickets, what will next.
