So it seems that this spygate subject with the New England Patriots has yet to go away.. The commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell sat down with Bill Walsh (former Patriots videographer) and received tapes of the Patriots video taping apposing defensive signals... We all already knew that they did this.. Nothing knew came about from this meeting.. What they were looking for was proof that the Patriots cheated during one of their Superbowl victories.. I am honestly glad that they did not find this proof (even though one of these Superbowl victories was over my Philadelphia Eagles). Because if they did, it would have been crazy to see what the next move would have been.... What would they have done? Taken their Superbowl rings? That would have made a complete mockery of the institution that is the National Football League... It has just came to my attention that the Patriots assistant was spotted on the field during the Rams walk threw in the Superbowl of 2001... But in all reality they Rams have every right to remove Matt Walsh from the field during that walk threw.. Because they didn't means that he was not trespassing and he was doing nothing wrong.... I think that this is a terrible thing for the league and it just needs to go away so we can all get back to the game that we know and love...

CHAD JOHNSON OUT OF CINCI?

May 8th 2008 16:05

So I have been hearing a lot about the mess that is the Cincinnati Bengals. Chad Johnson wants out. But the Bengals do not want to let him go. Now I could understand not wanting to trade a player of his caliber. But you have to ask yourself, do they not want to trade him because of how good he is? or is it because they have a stubborn head coach? And now everyone is painting Chad Johnson as the bad guy in this thing. Saying he is acting like T.O. when he wanted out of San Fransisco, or even when he wanted out of Philly.. Ok take a look at it this way, lets say that the team did not want him no more. They would trade him in a heart beat an he would have no say in any of it. So why can it not work the other way? If they don't want him he goes, but if he wants to go and they don't want him to then he stays? Sounds a little one sided to me... Chad Johnson seems content in sitting out this season if he is not traded... Does it really make sense for a franchise to let a guy who has this much power in the trade market sit the season out? If you ask me they I think they should trade him..... But thats just my opinion.... What will happen to Chad Johnson? Only time will tell...

on Eagles Draft Day 1

the way i hear it is lito will not play along side asante samuel.. if he stays on the team he will be the number 3 defensive back... which i dont think is a bad move.. sean considine has a lot of promise at the strong safety spot... and with the many very good 3 receiver sets in the league right now having sheldon brown, lito sheppard, and asante samuel will be amazing.. especially with the receivers that washington got in the draft and that dallas already has.... i love me some philly sports though... good post...

They are saying it is because of safety reasons and they do not want the last name covered up on the back of the jersey... i believe it is for marketing purposes....
