Cat’s Paw and Thunder at Sunset

the air glows at sunset

we are in a neon tube and angels provide the spark that makes us luminous

dayglo spirits crowd the air at eventide

and the day breathes it last and we come into being at water edge

and wait for a crack of doom or a fall of night

the grows oranger still color spilling out over the clouds and tinging the rough surface of the rippling waters
