Dance Hall Days

If dancing is as close to sex that you can get with your clothes on, then why aren’t more men to be found on the dance floor? Why are there so many counter-leaners or bar stool perchers watching the women move past them at a "safe distance?" This isn’t a strip club. Women are there to interact with you. Maybe the guys are just as worried about appearing silly or maybe they had experienced some previous dance floor trauma.
The quickest response from a date seems to be “I don’t dance.” Which is a pity. Because out of the handful of men whom have ever placed their hand on my back and led me around the dance floor, well......
And you know why? Because we’d already shared intimate space in a public place and I was comfortable enough to get intimate in private. Because he’s shown me he can move in rhythm with my body, or at least try.
So if dancing is the conversation between two bodies, then why not continue the discussions. In private. I'd say good music and rhythm, becoming one with the beat can be somewhere between great sex and prayer.
