Cycle training and general chit chat

Hello all
Hope you are enjoying my Swept from the Sea story? Bit of a quiet day at work really, seems like a really long week so far. Read a weird article in one of the womans mags in the time out room. About this bloke who has 5 life size female dolls at a cost $12,000 each, he dresses them up and likes them better than real women as they don't answer back!
I don't know what is weirder, the fact that he has them or that he got himself on a double page spread in a magazine and now everyone knows!.
Unless he is doing reverse psyc and hoping that some female will feel sorry for him? Hmmm nah definately a weirdo!! But that has given me an idea for a short creepy ghost story, so watch this space for that.
Tonight went up the Rapaki track which is a great cycling track that leads upto the
Port Hills, there was a bit of low cloud and drizzle but wasn't too bad as good training for my up and coming TransAlpine cycle tour. We went along the summit road until we came to the Lahmar track, which is called 'Sheep Poo Track', Hmmm strange name I thought until you ride down it and there is sheep poo everywere so sort of makes sense really. Damm bumpy too!!!!
I guess at the moment I am averaging about 100-160 kms a week although need to up the ante to cross the Alps. Decided to set up my decent mtb for touring so I can train with full loads in pannier bags etc. Started the ride at 5.45 and got home at 7.30, so feeling bit weary now.
thought for the day ' Neither judge yourself nor others. Learn from mistakes'
Bye for now
