John & Edward Put the Fun in the X Factor

What a shocker!

Why was Olly in the bottom 2? Did everybody think he was safe and so didn't vote for him?
Or did all the Jedward haters vote for Lloyd to ensure that he wasn't in the bottom 2.

If the bottom 2 had been John & Edward and Lloyd then chances are Lloyd would have gone as he has been in the singoff more times than J&E. But once Olly had to sing again there was no doubt that the twins would be the ones to leave.

They probably did themselves no favors by choosing to sing a ballad 'No Matter What' which showed up their less than perfect voices - but even their army of fans have never claimed they were the best singers in the competition.

Although I never thought they would win, or even get to the final, it is very sad to see the twins go. They brought an element of fun and entertainment to the competition which will be missing now.

Down to the final 6 competitors now, who are all pretty good, so it could be anybody’s competition...or could it? All the competitors had been home for a couple of days this week to see their family and friends. All their families are obviously immensely proud of them, and rightly so.

Sorry Lloyd - I think you may be going home!

First up on Saturday was Lloyd singing ‘Faith’. He looked better than he sounded, but he didn’t sound bad. I think he may well be in the bottom 2 again tonight though.

Second was Stacey singing ‘I can’t make you love me’ which was well sung but rather dull. Stacey when she was filmed at home didn’t sound anything like as annoying as she does when she is talking on camera at the live shows, but OMG doesn’t her sister look and sound exactly like her.

Next came the fabulous John & Edward. They did sing a bit more this week and their voices weren’t at all bad. They are still more performers than recording artists though. Watching them on the Xtra factor later was hilarious as they played with their Jedward dolls! They performed ‘I’m your man and a Wham medley’.

Fourth was Danyl singing ‘Careless Whisper’ which I thought was fantastic. I am just a little worried about his lack of popularity though, which seems to be prevalent especially in the gay community for some reason. I have voted to save him once before when I thought he might be in trouble and I may do so again today.

Olly was fifth and I don’t think I have to worry about his popularity at all! He sang ‘Faster Love’ and looked incredible all in black.

Last was little Joe singing ‘Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me’, which caused Louis to get the rule book out again as it is, strictly speaking, an Elton John song. Joe got a standing ovation from all the judges and he is an exceptionally good singer, but, I’m sorry, totally lacking in personality and sex appeal.

I predict the bottom 2 tonight will probably be Lloyd and John & Edward (although I would rather it was Stacey) and I think Lloyd will go.

Still haven’t changed my opinion of the most likely winner – Olly, or the second and third, Danyl and Joe.

Well the celebrities have been in the jungle for one whole week now and a lot has happened.

First the awful Katie ‘Jordan’ Price invaded the camp again. To nobody (except her) surprise she has since been voted to do every single Bush Tucker Trial ever since. The publics sympathies all seem to be with her gorgeous (as long as you put a bag over his head) ex Peter Andre, who she met in the jungle last time she was there.

Is Katie looking for another husband? Look-out Stuart/Gino/Jimmy/George!

The rather pathetic Camilla who didn’t have a half ounce of fat on her to sustain her had to leave within the first few days...but didn’t we wish her back again when she was replaced by the totally obnoxious Joe Bugner! Former heavyweight champion boxer, but now as Justin described him ‘just a thug!’ Joe has made his hatred of Sabrina known, not sure if he hates her because she’s a woman, because she’s black or just because she is younger and way more intelligent, talented and famous than he is.

The others are all doing pretty well. Colin is so laid back and doesn’t support Justin at all in his battles with Joe or Kim. Sam is much nicer than I expected her to be. George is wonderful, absolutely hilarious! Gino is funny too.

The unfortunate thing is that the 3 I would most like to see leave in the first vote off are all exempt and safe. The choice of who leaves is now between George, Sam, Lucy and Gino who are 4 of the best in there I think so it will be a shame to see any of them go.

Please everybody stop voting for Katie to do all the trials as I am sick of the sight of her!

This years I’m a celebrity get me out of here has now started, the contestants who are Sam Fox, Lucy Benjamin, Gino D’Acampo, Camilla Dallerup, George Hamilton, Stuart Manning, Colin and Justin, Sabrina Washington, Jimmy White and Kim Woodburn gathered on a luxury boat. Ant and Dec then turn up on a speed boat and tell them 2 people will have to swim to an island for some bush tucker trials while the rest are taken back to an airport where there are three helicopters waiting to transport the celebs to the jungle.

Kim and George are the two oldest at 67 and 70 years of age and are helicoptered to a drop point and have to walk to the camp site. Three of the others are taken to an airfield where they will get the scariest way to enter the jungle, they have to freefall tandem parachute from 12,000ft. The lucky three are Lucy, Sabrina and Colin

The show opened with Simon having a go at Sting for criticising the finalists – but then Sting’s weird, so who cares.

Jamie was first to sing – Radio Gaga – which wasn’t great. He had a makeover and I liked the slightly more tamed Afro, Cheryl didn’t, but I didn’t like his clothes which looked like they had been stolen from Olly’s wardrobe, Cheryl did. I think he could be in trouble tomorrow

Joe Swash 2008 Winner
Joe Swash 2008 Winner I'm a Celebrity....Get Me Out of Here!
The new series of the celebrities in the jungle show starts this weekend.

The names already revealed for this year show a marked increase in the average age of the competitors. Although gay interior design couple Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan declined to reveal their ages – I think it’s safe to say they are over 30

Should Lucie Have Gone?

Lucie
Lucie Jones Last X Factor
Yes of course she should. She had the least votes. She was the act that the public least wanted to see perform again. So she went.

Personally, I think the act that goes home should always be down to the public vote, not up to the judges

John & Edward

These two made me smile from their first audition (“I’m John, this is Edward and together we are John & Edward!”). Although I didn’t love them to start with, I do now
